Big Bear Lake

The Big Bear Valley is a four-season mountain resort community!  While our resort offers many ways to have fun we always recommend checking out what else our community has to offer while during your stay.  The lake provides exceptional fishing, sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, canoeing and kayaking! A variety of charming boutiques and shops can be found in and around town to the delight of browsers and buyers alike! Many shops are located in the Village (a perfect downtown area that you can pleasantly stroll), with quite a few others throughout the Valley. Decor and retail items in the shops reflect the rich local history of gold mining, summer and winter recreation activities, and appreciation of the beautiful natural environment.

Over 70 dining establishments in the Big Bear Valley offer everything from fast food to elegant dining and some local restaurants even provide home delivery! A number of places including several coffeehouses offer dancing, live entertainment, karaoke, and billiards. Take a leisurely stroll around The Village, do a little shopping, stop by the Ice Cream Shop or sit down for an enjoyable dining experience in a true Alpine atmosphere. There is a movie theater in the village with three screens that feature some of the latest first-run movies and you will also find a video game arcade and bowling alley for added entertainment.  Also there are a variety of groups in the Valley that put on live-theater productions ranging from Musicals & Kids Shows to Intimate Dramas & Comedies in venues ranging from the Big Bear Discovery Center to the Performing Arts Center!

Bicycle Rentals

Since biking is such a big part of our resort we do offer Mountain Bike Rentals here at our Snow Summit Base Area!  Why go to the hassle of renting anywhere else when we offer some of the greatest bikes on the market and the most convenient location in relation to our bike park.  Plus if you’re having an issue with your bike our shop offers a quick repair service that will get you riding again. Choose from a variety of models to find the bike that best suits your riding style!

Pineknot Campground is located only a few hundred yards from Snow Summit’s base area. There are many other campgrounds in the Big Bear Lake area, most within a short drive from Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. For camping reservations, contact Reserve America at (877) 444-6777. Call the Big Bear Discovery Center at (909) 866-3437 for more information on camping.
