Big Bear Mountain Resorts Transitions from Winter to Summer
April 18, 2009
Swing into Spring with Bear Mountain Driving Range & Golf Course Opening
(Big Bear Lake, CA – April 18, 2009) – Today marks the end of another successful winter at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. With a cumulative snowfall at more than 120 inches and solid attendance, Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) officially ends the ski and snowboard season for 2008/2009. Snow Summit’s last day of operation for the season was April 18th; Bear Mountain closed as of April 12th.
“This season has been a success in many ways,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. "Mother Nature came through in a big way with several storms contributing to over 120 inches of cumulative snowfall, the best we have seen in over a decade and record attendance despite economic considerations. On behalf of the staff of BBMR, we want to thank our visitors and we are looking forward to our summer operations, with the Scenic Sky Chair and Golf and more skiing and boarding next winter.”
Winter may be over but the summer activities and events that bring Big Bear Mountain Resorts to life in the summer are just around the corner. You can look forward to the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair, golf, hiking, and mountain biking! The Bear Mountain Driving Range will open April 24th and the 9-hole Mountain Style Golf Course is scheduled to open May 8th, 2009.
