Big Bear Mountain Resorts Celebrates another Successful Season April 25, 2010
Best Conditions in 40 years!
(Big Bear Lake, CA – April 25, 2010)– With over 150 inches of snowfall this winter, Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) is celebrating the end to another extraordinary season with some of the best conditions in 40 years. Snow Summit’s last scheduled day for skiing and snowboarding is Sunday April 25th however with another substantial snowfall in the forecast, Snow Summit could reopen next weekend; Bear Mountain officially closed as of April 18th.
“Mother Nature was extremely generous to us thanks to an El Nino winter. Colder temperatures created some of the best conditions, adding up to a truly remarkable season,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. "On behalf of the staff of BBMR, we want to thank our visitors; we are looking forward to our summer operations, with the Scenic Sky Chair and Bear Mountain Golf Course.”
Winter may be coming to an end but the spring and summer activities and events that bring Big Bear Mountain Resorts to life, are just around the corner. You can look forward to the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair, golf, hiking, and mountain biking! The Bear Mountain Driving Range and the 9-hole Mountain Style Golf Course are scheduled to open May 21st. The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair will open weekends only beginning May 22nd and marks the final stage of the Amgen Tour of California, which will conclude at Snow Summit.
