Bear Mountain and Snow Summit Invest in Another Exciting Season

$1.7 million in enhancements for 2009/2010
(Big Bear Lake, CA – October 15, 2009) – On the verge of another exciting winter season, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit have invested $1.7 million to enhance both resorts for the upcoming 2009/2010 winter season. This season also marks the 20th year of park development with two decades of terrain-park and snowboarding innovation, style, creativity, and history.
“During these uncertain economic times, we have purposefully been conservative with our spending to remain fiscally responsible,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. "We are committed to maintaining the high quality experience our guests have come to expect from us.”
Improvements to both resorts include enhancements to the snowmaking system to increase efficiencies, new Snowcats to expedite grooming, and increased transportation between mountains with the addition of a new shuttle enabling guests to be on the slopes within minutes.
In celebration of 20 years of park evolution, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit has chronicled this journey in a new film “Parkumentary” with a sneak peak available at www.bearmountain.com/snowboard. “No resort in the country can match our history in the progression of snowboarding,” said Chris Riddle. “We continue to lead the way in one-of-a-kind features and innovative terrain.”
