(Big Bear Lake, Calif. – March 16, 2011) – Peak-season rates have officially come and gone and skiers and snowboarders are invited to pack up their gear and take advantage of weekend savings at Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR). Both Snow Summit and Bear are 100 percent open and BBMR is offering two new smokin’ hot deals to come up and check out the wide-open slopes and phenomenal snowpack.
It’s official! BBMR is pleased to offer regular season rates, along with a new $99 Weekend Special that allows skiers and snowboarders to save big when purchasing their Saturday and Sunday lift ticket at the same time. Also, the Super Sunday deal is here to stay! Riders purchasing their lift ticket online for Sundays will receive a $49 rate now through the end of the season. Guests must purchase tickets online for the Weekend Special and the Super Sunday Deal.
“Now is the time to take advantage of great values at the park; lower rates plus our new discounts make for awesome savings just in time for spring break,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “With plenty of snow, our staff has been able to maintain a world-class park well into the spring season. From the Skill Builder Parks to the Super pipe, Bear Mountain still has all of the variety and fun that you’ve come to expect.”
Grenade Games
For the first time ever, Bear Mountain will host the Grenade Games next weekend, March 26-27! The contest will feature some of the world’s best pro snowboarders competing in electrifying extreme sports action.
Free to the public, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The awards ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. As a bonus, the private after-party on Saturday will feature a live performance by Del the Funky Homosapien (from the Hieroglyphics).
