Winter Storm Brings 1-2 Feet of Fresh Powder

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are open with nearly 100 percent of terrain available thanks to this week’s storms and there’s more snow in the forecast.
Guests are encouraged to make reservations for the Christmas holiday period online at http://www.bigbearmountainresorts.com/bbmr_buynow.php or by calling 909-866-5841.
“We had another foot of snowfall last night, bringing us up to around two feet of snow in the last two days with more snowfall in the forecast. It’s absolutely beautiful up here. It really looks like a real winter wonderland,” said Chris Riddle, Marketing Director for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “With all the fresh snow and once again, some great snowmaking conditions, skiers and snowboarders are in for a fantastic holiday on the slopes.”
Heavy rain, rock and mudslides have closed the front road, Highway 330/18 through Running Springs, but Highway 38 through Redlands and Highway 18 through Lucerne Valley are open with no restrictions.
