Reservation FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Why are reservations recommended?
- We limit our ticket sales in order to insure that every customer will have a quality experience with limited lift lines.
- Can I make a reservation and pay cash at the window?
- No. Your credit card will be charged at the time of the reservation.
- Will I be able to cancel my reservation?
- Yes. You have up until the day before to cancel your reservation.
- If I don't cancel and am unable to use my tickets can I use them another time?
- Yes. The tickets will remain in our system and you can use them another time. However if you plan to use them on a weekend or during a holiday period you must call and reschedule (909) 866-5841.
- How long does my reservation stay in the system?
- We recommend using your tickets by the end of the following season, but they are good forever.
- What will I need to pick up my reservation?
- You will need your credit card and driver's license or valid I.D.
- Can I make a reservation and have someone else use them?
- Yes however we request that you fill out this downloadable Reservation Authorization Form authorizing someone else to pick up your tickets. The guest picking up the tickets will need bring the completed form and have an ID matching the name on the authorization.
- Can I add on to my reservation at the window?
- Yes, if we are not sold out. No, if we are sold out.
- Can I reserve a half-day or night session?
- No. We do not sell half-day or night session tickets in advance since we cannot guarantee how many we will have or what time they will go on sale.
- Can I reserve rentals?
- Yes but only with Snow School Lesson Package.

Season Pass FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Are Season Passes refundable or transferable?
- No. Season Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Allowing another person to use your pass is cause for immediate revocation.
- How do I pick up my Season Pass?
- During the fall season you can pick up your pass (Bear Mountain Only Pass included), have your photo taken and complete your paperwork on weekends at Snow Summit's Season Pass Office. Office hours are Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:0a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- What if I can not pick up my Season Pass during the Fall?
- If you are unable to pick up your Season Pass during the fall then you can come to the Snow Summit or Bear Mountain Season Pass Office on your first visit of the winter season.
- If I am a previous Season Pass holder am I required to have a new photo?
- Yes, we have a completely new database so new photos ar required for all Season Pass holders.
- Is my Season Pass good during the summer?
- All Dual Mountain Season Passes are good for Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair and mountain biking during the preceding Summer Season. Bear Mountain Only and Night Season Passes are not valid for Sky Chair benefits.
- If I am a Dual Mountain Season Pass Holder and my pass type is Midweek or Midweek Plus can I use it on weekends during the summer?
- Yes.
- Can I download and sign the Release of Liability required by all Season Pass holders off the Internet to save time when picking up my pass?
- Yes, please download Release of Liability.

- Nov. 24-26, 2011; Dec. 24-31, 2011; Jan. 14 and 15, 2012 and Feb. 18 and 19, 2012.
- Can I use my Dual Mountain Midweek and Midweek Plus season pass for night sessionon weekends and holidays?
- Yes, ALL pass holders are invited to join us for night session whenever night session is available.
- Are Bear Mountain Only Passes also good for night sessions at Snow Summit?
- Yes, ALL pass holders are invited to join us for night session whenever night session is available.
- If Bear Mountain is closed can I use my Bear Mountain Only Season Pass at Snow Summit?
- Yes, if Snow Summit opens for the season before Bear Mountain, if Bear Mountain closes for the season before Snow Summit, or if Bear Mountain closes for the day to due weather.
- If I have a child 6 yrs and under and I purchase a pass can my 6 and under child still ski free?
- Yes, just bring your Season Pass to the ticket window each time to receive your Free Child's ticket. Alternately, you can pay a $20.00 processing fee and receive a Season Pass the same type as yours for your child.
- If I lose my Season Pass is there a replacement fee?
- Yes, if you lose your Season Pass you will pay a $50.00 replacement fee.
- If I forget my Season Pass can I receive a free lift ticket for the day?
- No, you will have to purchase a full-priced lift ticket (we apologize to our honest, forgetful friends; this policy is necessary in order to prevent fraud). We suggest keeping your Season Pass somewhere safe with your equipment (such as your ski or snowboard boots).
- If I am a Season Pass Holder can I receive a discount on lift tickets for my friends?
- No.
- If I have a Midweek or Midweek Plus Season Pass can I receive a discount on a lift ticket for myself on Weekends and Holidays?
- No.
- Can I still get a free "Birthday Ticket" even if I have a Season Pass?
- No. Season Pass holders are not eligible to receive a free “Birthday Ticket” when pass is valid.

Gift Cards FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
- What is a Gift Card?
- A pre-paid debit card good for any service or product we provide at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. Lift tickets, rentals, lessons, food & beverages (excluding alcohol) or in the sport shop.
- How can I purchase a Gift Card?
- You can order online, by phone or at any open ticket window.
- Will it be mailed?
- Yes, we send Gift Cards by certified mail unless you make the purchase on site.
- Is there a mailing fee?
- Yes, we charge a $5.00 mailing fee.
- When can I expect delivery?
- It takes 5-10 days. Once the order is completed, we fill it the next day and send it off in the mail. After that, it depends on the US Mail.
- If I buy a Gift Card for someone can they pick it up at the Resort?
- No, we do not hold Gift Cards.
- Does my gift card expire?
- Never ever.
- Can I get cash back?
- No.
- How can I check my balance?
- You may check your balance at any open ticket window or call 909-866-5766 ext 241 and we will research it for you.
- Can I order them at a shop or mall?
- No, Gift Cards can only be purchased from Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
- Can I use Federal Express to send my Gift Card?
- Yes, you would need to call us at 909-866-5766 ext 241 and give us a Fed Ex account number or credit card number to give to Fed Ex.
- Will I need to have a reservation if I have a Gift Card?
- Yes, even if you have a Gift Card this does not assure you a ticket if we are sold out.
